The activities are written to use Texas Instruments graphing calculators in conjunction with the Texas Instruments CBL 2 and the Vernier LabPro data collection devices. The device is used to collect data from a variety of sensors, such as motion, force, sound, light, and temperature. The data collection software called DATAMATE is run on the calculator. This versatile, easy-to-use program sets up the data collection and then retrieves the data from the data collection device. Powerful analysis features built into the graphing calculator help students build mathematical models.
