Verification Requirements

Because of the wide variety of registration and establishment requirements (or the lack thereof) in each state for home schools, eligibility for educational software discounts can only be determined on a case-by-case basis.

In order to validate the authenticity of your home school, you will need to provide to CPE copies of at least one or more of the following items in order to verify the authenticity of your home school operation:

• A letter from your State’s Department of Education recognizing your home school; and/or
• A letter from your local School District or Board of Education recognizing your home school; and/or
• A copy of a 'letter of intent to home school' which you have sent to a state, county, or other educational authority; and/or
• Any document showing membership in a local, state, or national home school association or organization; and/or
• Any receipts for purchases of a home school curriculum program from any nationally recognized home school curriculum provider; and/or
• Any other documentation which somehow verifies that you have established an authentic home school for the purpose of educating your child or children outside of the public and private school systems.

Upon submission of any of these documents, CPE will review them and forward copies of such to the software manufacturer(s) of the product(s) that you wish to purchase in order to obtain final approval. The software manufacturers typically take about 48 hours to review the documents and give their final approval. Once final approval from a software manufacturer has been obtained, you will not have to resubmit these documents for re-approval for any future orders for the expected life of your home school.

The Ordering Process

If you operate a legitimate home school and you can provide to us one or more of the above listed documents, and you would like to order educational software products from CPE, here’s the process:

• Place your order first – either through our website or call us at 800-679-7007.
• Fax or email copies of your verification documents to us.
• CPE will review the submitted documents and submit them to the respective software manufacturers in order to obtain final approval.
• Upon receipt of final approval (usually within 48 hours of submission), CPE will ship the educational software products to your home school!
• You will now be pre-approved for future orders!
